Join us for the Chess Club Launch Night! Discover what’s in store for future sessions, and dive into some friendly games.
Come join us for the first Chess Club session! We’ll kick things off with a quick intro to the club and what to expect this year. Whether you’re new or rusty, we’ll cover the basics of how to play, some simple strategies, and get you playing right away with friendly mini-games. There’ll be plenty of time for questions and open play too.
After the session, we might head over to Seamus’s (our possible sponsor) for a relaxed social — a great chance to meet new people and have some fun.

C floor is the 2nd lowest floor at Merchiston Campus, and if necessary, there are available lifts that remove the need for using the stairs
Entry Requirements
There are no requirements! All you require is a curiosity to learn about chess, or improving your chess skills, and a willingness to meet new people who share similar interests
