First Years Speed Friending
139 Cowgate, EH1 1JS, Edinburgh
First years, get ready for the easiest way to make pals before the Pizza & Boardgames night! 🎉
This speed friending session is open to all first year students at any campus! 💃
Speed friending is an 'icebreaker' social event where you get the opportunity to introduce yourself to different people while a timer keeps things moving. Similar to 'speed dating', only with the goal to find pals rather than someone to date ✨
Please note that under 18s are only allowed to enter with an ENSA staff member or another adult, until 8pm. So if that applies to you, please wait by the venue entrance for a staff member to come get you.
You will need a separate ticket to enter the Pizza & Boardgames night taking place afterwards. You do not have to come to both - feel free to come along to either! ✨
If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket in your account so someone else can take your spot.
Location: Three Sisters upstairs Union Bar
Time: 5pm-6pm
Tickets: tickets go live 72 hours (3 days) before the event starts. You can sign up below to receive a notification when the tickets go live. You need a separate free ticket to the Pizza & Boardgame Night after.
Accessibility:
Physical Accessibility: The upstairs Union Bar is accessible via a lift for people with mobility impairments.
Seating: The main seating options are benches. We can accommodate individuals using mobility aids.
Noise Levels: The Union Bar has a lively atmosphere, especially during busy periods, which may be challenging for those sensitive to noise. Ear protection is recommended if that's something that helps you with noise.
Quiet Space: While the venue generally has a busy environment, we will only be playing background music during the speed friending session. You are always welcome to go outside for a little break and rejoin.
Please contact us with any accessibility or general questions at ENSA@napier.ac.uk.
